We responded to the war in our neighbourhood with willingness and joint efforts. The donation of Philip Morris Hungary provided assistance to this, which allowed our Member Hospitals to make many other commitments in addition to health services for refugees.
Our most important activities during the project:
Receiving refugees, providing first aid and basic health care in Záhony, Mándok, Benk and Aranyosapáti, 24 hours a day.
Providing medical presence and care at the health screening station in Budapest.
Providing COVID-19 screening and vaccination, carrying out related administration and issuing documents in Záhony, Kisvárda and Budapest.
Child patient care: outpatient and inpatient care of children with various disease and injuries in St. Damian’s Hospital Kisvárda and Bethesda Children’s Hospital Budapest.
Adult patient care: outpatient and inpatient care of adults with various disease and injuries in St. Damian’s Hospital Kisvárda, St. Francis Hospital in Budapest and MAZSIHISZ Hospital Budapest.
Taking care of pregnant women for the entire remaining period of their pregnancy, providing necessary care and conducting childbirth in St. Damian’s Hospital Kisvárda.
Transport of patients in need of hospital care between their accommodation and the patient care facility.
Fundraising, compiling donation packs for refugees.
Organizing and shipping tasks, delivery of donations around Kisvárda and Berehove, Ukraine.
Providing employment, temporary accomodation and meal for refugees, included teachers and students.
